Stephen Greenland
Stephen helped establish The Children’s Wood following the birth of his daughter, first as a collective outdoor playgroup and later as a charity, serving as secretary and treasurer over the years and now as a trustee.
Stephen is a space engineer by training and led the development of the first Scottish satellite launched in 2014. Stephen went on to establish two space businesses working on new image and communication technologies and a social enterprise using data from space to empower and advocate for communities with low infrastructure globally. Stephen sits on several boards and is the UK representative for SMEs advising the government on industrial policy working from headquarters in Govan, Glasgow, and including local apprenticeship and school programmes.
